Have you seen tons of Facebook posts, Tweets, and news headlines about RNC 2012? Wondering who all these people are that are speaking? Wonder where they’ve been, what office they hold/are running for, and what their potential is on the national stage? Confused as to why people like me treat the Republican National Convention as one of THE GREAT every-four-year events right up there with the Olympics and the World Cup?

Odds are, unlike me, you didn’t block off your Tuesday night to watch PBS’s full, four-hour coverage of the first night of the 2012 Republican National Convention.  Odds are, you don’t read political news all day, every day to learn who the rising stars on the political scene are. So that’s why I’m bringing you everything you need to know about last night’s speeches and speakers at the first night of the Republican National Convention.  Sit back, relax, get your American flag out, and dwell on freedom and opportunity.  Here are the highlights… brought to you by the son of a public school teacher and FedEx employee!
