Ok so you know how you were let down by the end of LOST? Probably plan on that from Prometheus. Director Ridley Scott did use the same writer after all in Damon Lindelof.

Now remember how fun the ride to the LOST finale was? You can probably plan on that to a degree too.

That was my experience with Prometheus anyway. I found it visually stunning and pretty entertaining. I kind of feel like anytime you know big questions are going to be asked, you aren’t going to be given the big answers you want. The questions posed by Prometheus are what created humans and where do we come from? Can you really ask a grander question?

I feel like it was the type of movie that people who haven’t seen many Sci-Fi movies will really enjoy. And I am by no means a Sci-Fi buff but I’ve seen most of the classics, and enough in general to know how greatly Prometheus lacked originality.

Plus, the creature that was part of the race that created humans looked like a buff, albino Woody Harrelson. That was just silly.

I think ultimately there was just such potential for the topic and a budget to do whatever Ridley Scott wanted and aside from the visual component there just wasn’t much else to leave excited about after seeing it.

I liked the movie, but turned it to a pop corn blockbuster in the end.
